New Primary URL & Email Address; Other Site Updates

I’m happy to announce that the primary address for this site is now / and my primary email address is now scott@scottbradford.us. These changes became possible after last week’s migration to PowWeb’s new server environment which offers much more domain/subdomain flexibility.

The beauty is that the old eeltank addresses (web and email) will still work for the indefinite future, so this should be a seamless change for most of you (and for my Google rankings ;-)). There is no immediate need to change bookmarks, links, or address book entries, although you may need to re-enter your username and password.

Additionally, I made a small navigation change last week. Two top-level menu items (‘Humor’ and ‘Random’) have been combined into ‘Miscellaneous.’ Neither of those sections had enough content to really justify having a top-level menu item. You can also get a listing of all the ‘Have a Quote’ quotes in this section now.

Finally, I spent some time going through legacy content and correcting internal crosslinks (mainly from the Movable Type and pre-CMS days). I can’t be sure I got all of them fixed, but you should now be much less likely to stumble across broken links in the old content.
